形態特徵

A scandent shrub; stems prickly.
Leaves trifoliolate, with long petioles; leaflets coriaceous, oblong, lanceolate, 4–5 cm long, 1–1.5 cm broad, acute at apex, attenuate at base, the lateral veins numerous, the petiolules nearly sessile.
Racemes or panicles axillary, short; flowers creamy white, 5-merous; pedicels solitary in female flowers, fascicled in the males. Male flowers: calyx 5-lobed, the lobes broadly ovate, 0.5 mm long; petals 5, oblong, 2.5 mm long, 1 mm broad; stamens 5, exserted, the filaments hairy; rudimentary ovary with long style. Female flowers: ovary elliptic, 1.8 mm long; stigma capitate.
Fruit globose, 5 mm across, orange-colored, 3–5-celled.

分布

台灣 : very common in secondary forests and waste lands near the seashore.
世界 : India, Ceylon, the Philippines to southern China.
